New Beauty Buys

Hey peeps. So a relative gave me voucher for Dunnes as a present. Excited does not even describe how I felt when I heard Wet n Wild would be stocked in Dunnes. I know a few of the girls had to listen to me go on and on about it quite a lot. I was just soo excited to get my hands on some more of their products. I am obsessed with their Silent Treatment trio. Surprisingly I only picked up one shadow which was a bit of a disappointment.

I got the shimmer shadow in Bleached. I thought this would be lovely to add a pop of shimmer in the middle of a smokey eye. I was extremely disappointed because it creased after 20 minutes. It creased the shadow under it as well. It was very frustrating. I ended up having to take all my eye makeup off and start again. I'm hoping that I can use it in the inner corner or find some other use for it but really not impressed so far.

Now that that is out of the way the other products I absolutely adore! The lipstick I purchased was in the shade Red Velvet. I will say if you have dry cracked lips like me, use a lip scrub before applying the lipstick. I had a few lovely little red patches the next day where it seemed to get under my dry bits. But it lasts so long and I hate having to reapply so this definitely works for me :)

I knew that the lipsticks last pretty well from the Smokin' Hot Pink lipstick I got over the summer. I was so excited to get my hands on another shade particularly a red one since I only recently starting wearing red lipstick. :)

I don't know if anyone else has this problem but a lot of my day time lip products seem to wear off pretty easily. Its quite frustrating so when I heard Wet n Wild were bringing out a range of Balm Stains I was super excited. I saw a youtuber say that the stain isn't always the same shade as when the product is first applied but I wanted to try them out anyway.

I was a little scared of the colour at first but I decided to give it a try. Its shade E127. I love it! It lasted all day. I was so happy with it. For 3.99 its a steal. I may pick up another few shades during the week! ;)

I also picked up a couple of nail polishes. I have a silver Wild Shine polish that I love. I feel like it doesn't chip as fast on my as other nail polishes. I am very indecisive though so it took  me a while to pick a shade.

On the left is a matte top coat. I applied this to one nail this morning before taking my nail polish off and it really works. I loved the matte effect. I'll definitely be using this later when I paint my nails again :) On the right is Eggplant Frost its a lovely blue-y purple shade. I quickly applied it the other night before going out so it wasn't the neatest application but it looked lovely.

My last beauty purchase isn't Wet n Wild. I actually picked it up one of the days last week before Wet n Wild arrived to the Dunnes in Galway. I have heard good things about this palette so I thought I'd give it a shot.

I was in Cara with a friend and I wanted some new shadows. I'm trying not to use the shadow in my Silent Treatment trio that I've hit pan on since neither of the other shadows are anywhere near hitting pan and I'd rather not repurchase until one of them reaches that stage. I'll probably cave on this but we shall see haha. So I picked up this W7 palette. I was pleasantly surprised with how well the shadows lasted. I had a 9am lecture and I thought by 11.30 they might have creased but they didn't. I checked again a few hours later around 2.30-ish and they still hadn't creased. For 5 euro its a real bargain.

I haven't used all the shades but the ones I have used haven't creased so I was happy out. I haven't used the brush that came with the palette either. I've been sticking to my E.L.F blending brush. But it's handy having it there for on the go or if I forget my brush.

Have any good beauty buys? :) Always looking for new products to try out :)
